Beregost mines bookcase nonfunctional

Don't think the bookcase is working in the Beregost mines.
Stood there a while using search as well to see if it required a spot/search check.
Clicking on it didn't work.
Neither did right click 'use'.

I was able to use Open Lock on the bookcase. It seemed to become an object/door that I could pass through. I was able to see there was a room beyond, but when I clicked on the ground in that room, my char just remained in place instead of running forward.
When I tried to move forward with arrow keys, I essentially got stuck in the wall (the wall with the bookcase, and the wall immediately at right). I was able to get out, but it took a couple minutes.
