I just started my sorcerer and I thought he could swap spells each level. This does not seem to be the case.

Can anyone point me to the thread or resource to which covers this?

Replacing
Starting at their 6th class level, and every two levels after, sorcerers can replace one known spell with a new spell of the same level. The spell that can be replaced must be two spell levels below what the sorcerer can currently cast (1st level spell at 6, 1st or 2nd level spell at 8, 1st or 2nd or 3rd level spell at 10, and so forth).

That is far more restrictive than I thought.

Well I am allowed a RCR at level 10 for 100% xp return.

It's very easy to screw up a Sorc on this server. It's why you dont see a lot of them around. There are a number of spells on this server you can choose that don't work, and you won't know it till you choose it, at which time you can't go back until much later.

I wish there was an NPC to be able to swap spells with somewhere.

Which spells do not work ? As for swapping spells it's unfortunately not feasible within NWN2 script, it will have to wait for AoS magic (no ETA).

I play a Sorc and Rune of Light / Rune of Harm / etc spells for enchantment are on my list of selections. From what I understand this enchantment system isn't live yet.

Keeping with the sorcerer mix of questions.

Draconic Heritage Feat at level 1. I looked up the spells that is affected by this. And it is a mix between paladin and arcane/divine. Is this a place holder feat so you can ramp up into dragon blood mode, or was this it?

Does this mean a sorc can never swap out a badly chosen level 8 or 9 spell?

How does he then test out whether a revamped spell fits his style or not? Like the revamped Shapechange.

Probably attach a gold requisite behind it that scales per level maybe?

One should remember, that due NWN2 mechanics, Sorcerer is not able to switch any spells after 20th level.

No spellcasting class recieves any new spells after reching 20th caster level. Therefore, spells can not be swapped after that cap. It is the problem of game itself, not a server one.

Status of this as of today:

Core spell swapping : Completed, functions at any level, 1 - 30
Validating the spell against the class 2das : Not yet done
Changing at the correct character level : Not yet done, I have it stuck at the topmost level.
