Armor Class Question

Curious mechanical question, let's say an armor has +4 AC Armor and +4 AC Armor vs Evil.

If I fought a neutral, only +4 AC Bonus works. Then if evil, +8 AC Bonus? Does it stack or nay?

Nope.

Dodge AC would, but not the Armor Enchantment bonus.

I've heard that it would and heard that it wouldn't. It'd be nice to get some empirical evidence of this one way or another. I found a pair of boots once that had +4 Dodge AC and +3 Dodge AC vs Neutral, and I was told they wouldn't work, but I never actually tested them before selling them to another player.

I'll have to try to test this some time if I remember.

I was told originally when I found them that they would indeed stack, but then told by Karond after the fact that they wouldn't. Haven't thought about it again since, but now this has me curious again.

All dodge AC stacks. +4 Dodge boots with +3 vs. Evil would give you +7 vs Evil.

...with the single caveat that when/if you take the boots off, your AC will decrease by 7 and not 4. Yes. That bug

That sounds a really sucky...bug. Well time to sell this armor to a merchant.

Put it to consignment store. You can get bit more since there are people who buy those +4 equipment when the price is way under the 30-40k it costs at the Kraak Helzak merchant.

So dodge stacks, armor doesn't, how about deflection? Like +4 AC Deflection and +4 AC Deflection against Evil or piercing things.

But assuming you never take the boots off, you have a pretty kick-ass pair of boots, right?

What about deflection from parry skill. Does it stack with a deflection item?

It doesn't, only the highest is used. But it is still +5 at level 27, and +4 at level 23, and it frees that slot for something else.

How about AB and EB on a weapon? Or EB and EB vs. Evil? Doesn't stack, right? Neither AB nor dmg? Or does damage stack at least?

AB, EB, or anything else with a specific condidtion will only apply the highest.

Therefore a weapon with:
+1 EB,
+3 AB against Neutral,
+4 EB against Dragons,

Would do +1 damage and have +1 AB against a Lawful Good Human.
Against a human druid (neutral) it would +1 damage and have +3 AB.
Against a dragon you would have +4 damage and have +4 AB.
