Cloud Mind Bug

I was testing Cloud Mind with another player in-game, and apparently he can still move and run around after getting hit by it. He can't attack nor cast spell however. I checked wiki and it says:
"A dazed creature is unable to run, attack, and cast spells, and it can not actively use feats and skills. They can still defend themselves however."
Could anyone else check this out and confirm?

I just tested Cloud Mind on a few different mob types and it seems to be working as described. Once they fail their save, they are powerless to do anything until you attack them.

Yeah. Its supposed to not let them attack, cast, nor move. I tested it against a living player and they were able to walk around while under cloud mind.

I'm not sure where you're getting that targets aren't meant to move.
Cloud Mind and
Fascinate daze the target - which means that they cannot perform any actions.
The abilities have worked this way for as long as I've been playing bards.

Here's my research:
From Wiki =
http://nwn2.wikia.com/wiki/Dazed
"A dazed creature is unable to run, attack, and cast spells, and it can not actively use feats and skills. They can still defend themselves however"
daze from d&d rule book 3.5 online =
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/daze.htm
"This enchantment clouds the mind of a humanoid creature with 4 or fewer Hit Dice so that it takes no actions. Humanoids of 5 or more HD are not affected. A dazed subject is not stunned, so attackers get no special advantage against it.
stun from d&d rule book 3.5 online =
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/conditionSummary.htm#stunned
"A stunned creature drops everything held, can’t take actions, takes a -2 penalty to AC, and loses his Dexterity bonus to AC (if any)."
The way I saw it, daze = stun but no -2 AC Penalty and Still retains Dex bonus. But, s/he cannot move, attack, nor cast a spell since it is count as an action. Unless...I'm reading it wrong.

I think they can walk, just not run.
Right?

Yes - they can walk, but not run. The ability has always worked this way.
Also, if...
"...a dazed subject is not stunned..."
then why would you think that
"...daze = stun..."
Not trying to pick; I just don't understand how you've drawn the conclusion.

Well the fact that d&d rule book mentioned,
"A dazed subject is not stunned, so attackers get no special advantage against it"
I come to conclusion that it has a link to stun, just not the special advantage of ability decrease. But then again, I guess they could walk. Just a little weird that they can't run? Kinda hard to get my head wrapped around it.

I always viewed dazed/stunned/shook and all of the other 'mind states' as inter-related.
Dazed is sort of like someone that gets up from a bad accident. They can walk, but they can't run (would likely fall due to lack of coordination), they can't focus, or use any special talents (no one is juggling when they get out of a car after a bad accident).
Stunned, in my way of looking at it, would be more like that initial state upon impact in the accident. You are kind of locked in place, confused, unable to control motor function to get yourself out of the car.
So, yeah for me they are different but sort of just different versions/severity.
Either way, the nwn2 implementation of the dazed mechanic is to allow walking, just no use of feats (though, check this, you may be able to hips?).

Can confirm that. He was able to use hips while dazed.

You can use potions while dazed, yes,
and scrolls. *Casts Lesser Mind Blank from scroll to remove the daze effect entirely...*

Script wise the function used is EffectMesmerize, a different state than dazed. I don't think forcing anyone to walk is possible except by appyying the dazed effect and .. it has other issues. The description could be updated to what is actually possible to do rather than changing the mechanics.
