I am not sure when the last recruitment drive was but I feel like we need more DM's. Is it possible to recruit more or is there a limit or something?

There is a process for one. NOt all will make it. Remember just allowing any and every player who wants to DM could have repercussions for the server. Not everyone who becomes a DM can follow the rules or be as even handed as possible when DMing. So some will fail and not make it. Others burn out. Some return. Some do not.

There are DM events happening but there are less everyone come get some fun events because it becomes a pain for a DM to manage 10+ PCs all jockeying for attention.....

Might I suggest PMing a DM and asking them to help you get involved with a plot if you are looking for some event fun with a DM?

I will do that. I vaguely recall the old rules which said never to PM the DM's asking for events I guess that changed at some point. Still though I noticed that the two most recent additions are not on the DM team and haven't logged in for months. Actually Wisp and Rossette are the last two apparently active DM's to join and both joined a year ago. I know for a fact Wisp is very active. Rossette is a campaign coordinator and I presume they are busy behind the scenes. Just seems to me that maybe a few more could be recruited to fill in the gaps. You can't say they are not fit to be DM's unless you give them a chance after all right?

Five separate DMs have logged on since Feb 4th
Six on the 3rd
Seven on the 2nd
Three on the 1st

In my experience, DMs do respond to player requests. It might take them a little while though, since they're busy. And sometimes they need to discuss it as a team on the DM forums, if the request requires a ruling.

There are many time intervals (especially when online is low) when no DMs are present.

There aren't any guarantees of adding a DM for that time interval to be available for that time interval.

Absolutely agree, we need more DMs because unfortunately team has not enough time to run events

I've asked over two years and still, team is out of time. Adding few more DMs will help to solve the issue for sure!

We tend to recruit about once a quarter (once every three months), more or less. This gives us time to train the last group of new DMs, so that they're in good form and also ready to help train the next group.

There's actually a lot to DMing that's "behind the scenes," like figuring out how to use the DM Client, what the DM Team's rules and policies are, even how to move multiple NPCs at once -- they're all things you just never do as a player, and so don't have practice with them until you become a DM. (Unless you've DMed before on another server.)

The HDMs will probably do another recruitment drive soon, once they feel the time is right for it!

Imo, if a player wants something to change, they should try volunteering their time. You want more DM's, apply to become a DM.

I remember when I used to "hope" for UD updates/upgrades . I had no experience with the Toolset back then... But, look at me now .

My only complaint has and probably always will be. Timezones. GMT+8 so most of the good stuff happens either when im asleep or when im at work.

Tried to do that, but my my application were declined because I am with Coven
Successfuly DMed Sigil and scipted lots of stuff for it however. All that prejudice, you know.

I am not with the coven and was also declined. This was probably due to my total lack of experience. All we can do is apply again. The thing is we cannot do so unless they start recruitment again. I am not sure if the last two recruits (no insult intended here) flaked out or if they are still training behind the scenes. If it is the former then I would hope that a new recruitment drive would be started early rather then wait 3 month intervals.
