How would you make a single class fighter? A part of me is looking at those Extra Language feats.

i think i remember you actually posting in this.

i think charger/shield basher build is the way to go in a F30 build. charger/cleaver is my go to build for a 1-10 fighter.

expensive equipment just means the carrot is tied to a string on a longer stick...

That said, with epic shops and increased gold from looting along with epic merchants moved to the wide you'll likely have the epic weapon of your choice long before level 30

Made this almost five years ago. Not much I'd change, to be honest. Maybe put in CE/ICE for the versatility.

Epic Prowess instead of last STR though? Or maybe Epic Heavy Armor Optimization?

I had one.

Rock Genasi. Str 20 at level 1.

Key abilities:
Monkey Grip, CE, ICE, PA, IPA, Knockdown, Improved Knockdown, Disarm, Improved Disarm, Weapon Focus, Specialization, Mastery, Mighty Throw. And whatever else you can fit.

Dump ALL points into strength.

At level 21..30 take "Great Strength" at every single level. Do not take epic focus/specialization, do not take epic prowess, take 10x Great Strength..

Get +3 Str item.

You'll have 40 strength, 4000+ carrying capacity, and will be dealing 68 per non-critical hit.

Combat stats wise it is a monster. However, it is the most difficult character class to control - due to large number of abilities playing it is like controlling a helicopter. Or two helicopters at once.

You'll need to utilize every single feat, and you'll need to use combat maneuers as well, switching between offensive and defensive statnces, equipping and unequipping shield, and going into full turtle mode with tower shield if necessary.

This will also work best when teamed up with a wizard to deal with the hole in the defence, called will saves.

THAT'S ALL YE GOT?!

Pros:

--Fairly decent HP pool
--Has 24 Fort and 22 Will before items/buffs (or 26 Fort vs. spells and poisons and 24 Will vs. spells)
--Can still fight decently well
--Overall very tanky, especially against giants
--Dwarven waraxes can be used 1-handed with a shield or 2-handed with power attack
--Epic Resilience, Steadfast Determination

Cons:

--Only basic power attack
--No Northlander Hewing
--Really, not a great damage dealer overall

Ideas:

--Drop 2 Great Strength, get Imp. Power Attack and Northlander Hewing?
--Could always drop Iron Will / Epic Will, but then you're a weak brained dorf and we know dorfs are headstronk
--One Weapon is nice
--Brutal Throw for backup ranged options maybe?
--Drink lots of ale
--Like, a lot of ale

Both? Why?

It may not be an entirely well known thing, but will and reflex saves are already bugged to not autofail when rolling 1 (you can still fail, of course, if your sum is lower than the DC). So steadfast is all you need.
