A dwarf can be seen putting up a small piece of paper on the noticeboard near the Friendly Arm Inn. The writing is poor, and you can only barely make it out, it reads as follows:

"Found meself some dusty ol' tome lyin' aboot - might hold a secret fur ye!

I dinnae ken whit price it should fetch, but why dinnae we start the bidding at thirty bags.

Thurdin Stonebrew"

An elf stopped to read the message. After a moment's consideration he wrote a reply and went on his way.

"Thirty bags it is - Sirion"

The dwarf can be seen rubbing his hands as he observes the bids being written down, he then approaches the note and adds:

"Thank ye fur yer bids - auction will close one day after the last bid was made".

Supporting herself on a staff, the old woman stands in front of the post by Sirion. After several minutes of contemplation, she posts another bid. She can be seen walking away, muttering to herself.

Ninety trade bars.

After the old woman walked away the elf did a little muttering of his own. "Will she even have the time to read it," he grumbled under his breath. He shook his head and returned his focus to the dwarf.

"A hundred bags."

After returning and discovering the new bid, the old woman rubs her temples and limps away without making another offer.

The dwarf approaches the notice board again, he seems uncharacteristically jolly as he reads through the bids. At last he writes a small message in his typically childish and jagged handwriting:

"Ye have yerself a deal Sirion!"

There are then some specific instructions on when and how to meet (OCC: Will PM you / check if I can find you online)
