Draconic Heritage for Paladins question

Unread post by Valeron »

What effect does Draconic Heritage actually have on the related draconic paladin spells? I searched the forums and the wiki and cannot find anything.

The subject of the spell gains a +4 enhancement bonus to Strength, Constitution, and Charisma. It also gains a +4 enhancement bonus to natural armor. Finally, it has immunity to magic sleep and paralysis effects.
All the above turn to +5 with Draconic Heritage?!?

Divinate is the solution.

Problem is its still a 4th grade paladin spell and its range is TOUCH (usually only applies to others,no self buff)

I had not realized it was reduced to 1 round/level from 1 minute/level.

Still though, a lvl 30 Divinate Paladin has 6 minutes of +5 to these Stats, plus the +4 STR / +4 CHA stacking spells. Not so bad!!! 8-)

It is interesting to know, because one has the choice in building to forgo Aasimar for the +2 CHA /WIS, chose Human, take both LoH and Draconic Heritage, and leave many Abilities on Odd endings, instead of Even endings (which was kinda the building norm for a buffer).

Gonna have to revisit my Divinate build now!!!

Thank you for the feedback and information everyone. I had a 27 paladin that I was thinking of rerolling to a Divinate paladin and so blessing of bahamut and similar spells now have more value than before.

You could have a potential +13 to those stats instead of the usual +8, or you could have another 6 minutes of holy sword.

I think I'd prefer the latter, personally, considering how many feats you'd need to dump to reach it there.

No... you'd have +9 instead of +8.
Oh, I thought you meant a +5 on top of what it already did. My mistake.

Even less incentive to bother, then.
