G'day Folks, I have been considering a return to NWN2 Roleplay, but I would like to do so attached to a group? I was hoping if there was any houses of nobility or aristocracy that could use another member in their ranks? Hit me up here and we'l talk details!

On this server you can have nobility in your background, but nothing from server areas that would give you special privilege. You can receive the title of Lord (or Lady, Captain, Dread Lord, etc.) Through role play both in game and on the forums. Luke Darius recently accomplished this so perhaps the Darius brothers holding co. Would be of interest for you.
If you're interested in underdark rp you could attempt to get in touch of one of the noble drow houses.

I play Luke, you can send me a message with your idea. The other active noble on the surface is Eldarian (Miasmata). There's a few others but I think now they are mostly retired now.

That is not true actually.
- Unusual background and character sheet requests
Anything that you wish to play that is out of the ordinary, does not appear on your character sheet or in the character creation process, or is untrue to your character mechanically, is to be submitted to the DM team as a player request. The sort of things this covers include unusual heritage, unusual age, a class that doesn't exist in the game, an atypical background, nobility or personal contact with named lore NPCs. Requests that outright contradict the mechanics or character sheet of your character will almost always be rejected. We have also made some rulings on common requests that can be found on the "DM rulings thread." If in doubt, please contact the DM team.
Failure to submit an unusual background request, being dishonest or not playing by the guidelines the DM team set out for you can lead to the unusual background request being rejected or revoked by retcon. In extreme cases further disciplinary action may be necessary.
Nobility background of any kind requires DM approval, regardless of what kind it is. You are correct about the second part, it will not be approved unless it is of minor importance (3rd son of a minor house, disowned member of a noble family and similar) and brings no direct advantage in roleplay. Even then it might be rejected, depending on the background. Nobility is usually something to be earned, not something to start out with.
