Random timeout during gameplay

Hi,
I have a very odd lag out during various situations - no matter if it is idle chatting, combat etc. It happens literally at random and its symptoms are as follows:
- the lag occurs and I can't do anything - interact, move, even the inventory window does not update the gold - shows 0.
- fun fact - I see everyone else doing what they are doing - this involves monsters attaking me
- I receive chat information - private messages included but I cannot reply - as in the game allows me to but it is not sent received by the B party
- the standard game timeout that should kick me out after a while does not occur
So I started up wireshark and filter all packets (UDP and TCP) between me and the server. As it turns out, packets are still going both ways.
I got a running ping during this and no timeouts as well.
Tried changing the client port from 5120 to 5121 but no luck.
Any thoughts?
A year or so back I have found a solution that odly was related to some weird graphic settings with nvidia cards. Had to change some special settings for. .something. Can't find the topic again though.
Using Win 10, starting the game up with win xp sp 3 compatibility.
Thanks.
