So, Cave-y Baby has full spell progression for Ranger and Druid:

- Spells per Day/Spells Known: Full caster progression only for rangers and druids

What about also for Spirit Shaman?

the class is really geared toward ranger/ druid abilities with underdark affinity, not sure spirit shaman makes sense.

Perhaps it wouldn't make the MOST sense, but it makes some sense. Spirit Shamans use the druid spell list. It's not like they have wildshape or favored enemies. Going Cavestalker isn't a super optimal choice.

Besides, what's the worst thing that'd happen if it was allowed, mechanically speaking? Heck, RP-wise?

I could actually see a spirit shaman / cavestalker Svirfneblin being really cool and spooky, even if their spells would have to be mostly buffs and the like (since CHA determines save DC). It'd feel fitting, too: communing with the spirits within the stone, acting as a seer of sorts, and feeling perfectly at home in the Underdark...

wasn't really saying I saw an issue mechanically with such an allowance, just that it doesn't make sense. Though I suppose that would be a DM call if it should be allowed lore-wise... Mechanically I can't think of any issues.

Telthor Companion, Perhaps Cavestalker could grant a Spider Telthor Companion.

Well, you know somethings up when it takes MORE THAN 1 YEAR TO GET a reaction, one way or another.

Cave stalker should work with SS. Mostly for those that wish to play such in the underdark.

The spirit shamans abilities (limited as they are) work by default in the underdark though. No need to be unlocked underground like a rangers/druids, so I don't see what sense the cavestalker makes for a shaman. I would rather see the class get its own prc.
