Baldur's Gate - Laus - Dusty Tome

A serious-looking human man is putting the word out that he's somehow (details unspecified) managed to acquire an unopened, unread tome of ancient origins, that may (or may not) contain a True Name.

He makes no guarantees as to its contents (other than to say that it has not been opened or read), and announces that he is auctioning out the tome to the highest bidder. The auction will last for three days, or as long as it takes for serious bids to stop coming in. He reserves the right to end the auction early if he feels a bid is generous enough.

An elf, by the looks of him on his way somewhere, stops upon noticing the item to be auctioned away.

"Fifty bars."

[Arn]

An old woman approaches and nods to the elf.

"Let's cut to the chase. Ninety trade bars."

[Pimple]

"Tsk..."

The elf shook his head with a grudging smile.

"A hundred then."

[Muckluck]

*nods somberly* "100 bars from the gentleman. Any other takers? There's still good time to place a bid."

[Pimple]

"Gentle-elf if you please."

His tone was light.

[Muckluck]

One twenty *grunts a dwarf*

"One thirty."

[Muckluck]

*The man slowly claps his hands together three times*

"Sold, to the "gentle-elf", for 130 trade bars. Bring the amount to the East district upon the morrow, and we shall make our trade."
