To Improved Critical or Not?

So guys I heard there was some kind of reusable item which has Keen property, I guess it is some kind of Keen Edge wand substitute? I was wondering how much is the duration on that, how much does it cost and can it be dispelled? Generally, I was looking for opinions is it worth now to pick Improved Critical on my Barbarian or any future builds? How do you seasoned warriors feel about that?

Don't pick it - I never have. The duration on the wands is hours and it isn't dispellable.

The exact duration is 50 mins (CL 5 x10 min/CL). 1 charge per use and 50 charges means it's a non issue, yep.

It did in NWN1... You can go to the basement of Blushing Mermaid for 'Wands of Keen' if you cannot find a player crafter.

The only time I would ever pick Improved Critical was if I wanted Overwhelming Critical (see: https://wiki.bgtscc.net/index.php?title ... g_Critical ), but that's something that I'd only bother with if I did a Weapon Master/Frenzied Beserker build, in which case I'd probably already have most of the feats I needed for Overwhelming Critical.

I pick it because I'm greedy and wands are 1 more lb to carry, something not all characters can afford leisurely ! But on an STR fighter sure, wand away.

if you are a two weapon fighter using the same weapon, wouldnt you want this so you can increase crit on both hands?

maybe it can be done from a wand with the bag open. havent tried it in a long time.

You can target weapons directly, so yes, for 2 charges you can have both your weapons keen.

Blushing Mermaid one is far cheaper anyways. And I don't think it's an actual wand, more like an open consumable. No UMD needed (although I've never tried getting one on a 0 UMD character).

I also was of the impression they were 7 or 9 CL?

pretty sure it's the same issue as magic vestments and greater magic weapon.... can't be dispelled or breached and i thought at some point it was stated it couldn't be fixed... if it can be fixed than it should be.

call me mental, but if you don't have UMD, then wouldn't the wands me a non usable item? I mean, sure you can keen up your weapon....if you can. If not, woudln't the talent be better?
