Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

I've recently noticed increased amount of lag when moving about the forums of late (within last 4 days). It also coincided with me noticing that the server status bar shows the server as Currently Offline alot. But if refreshed it would come back showing the server status... most times.
I've noticed this across two different PCs on two completely different networks and ISPs.

I've definitely been noticing this too.

I'd comment with a "me too" but I can't get the page to load.

I've temporarily disabled the player counter.
Seems to be the cause of the lag.

I'll try to debug it and get it back ASAP.

Keep an eye on the counter for me, will you guys?

It's slower to update now, but doesn't affect forum load speed anymore. So it might be a couple of minutes behind.

Roger wilco. But yes, very responsive. No issues with seeing player count thus far.

On a related note... what happened to the "Click here if you can't log in" button?

It's gone...

I believe it was no longer needed, but I asked AoS about that.

The button was for a previous anti-ddos feature that's now depreciated two revisions behind.

Look at that slick new player counter. Just look at it!

AoS made me able to get the player count from the server itself, instead of the third party we used before. That makes it a lot quicker and more reliable, and makes everybody happier! (I promise)
