Bastard Sword equipping penalty

Recently I have begun to notice that my bastard sword is applying a -2 penalty when equipped one handed. This is in addition to the -2 for a tower shield as I have tested it with just a basic shield as well.

Bastard sword with no shield: no penalty

Bastard sword with light or heavy shield: -2 AB.

Bastard sword with tower shield: -4 ab (-2 of that being from the tower shield, which is standard).

I have tested shields with other 1 handed weapons and there is no -2 penalty being added.

As the bastard sword is listed as a 1-handed exotic weapon in the PHB, I can only assume this is some sort of bug. This is very, very recent as far as I can tell.

I don't have that.

Literally, I equip my bastard sword and shield, my ab drops an extra 2 from what it used to. Doesn't matter what shield, 1 handed bastard sword applies an extra -2 ab.

I don't have two weapon fighting so can't test that in any spectacular fashion, but I have done extensive testing with the bastard sword and all my other one handed weapons with a shield. The bastard sword ends up with an extra -2 every time now for whatever reason. Rest doesn't fix it as far as I can tell neither does reset. Not that I can rest every time I take out or put my weapon away.

Using it two handed, as noted, there is no penalty.

Can't reproduce it on a cleric so I suppose you have fighter levels and melee weapon mastery but it goes away when equipping your shield, which won't be an issue anymore after this update.

I do have fighter levels and melee mastery.

I didn't notice it go away when I equipped other slashing weapons though. I'll check again next time I can get online.

Ok, I have tested with a different slashing weapon. That seems to be the case, when equipping a shield the Weapon Mastery feat disengages. I lose the +2 damage as well, I just didn't notice before.
