Accidentally thrashed quest item

I accidentally trashed the quest item for "Scouting Supplies" (ie the furs), and this the quest is now stuck.

Is there any way I can reset it?

Would greatly appreciate any help!

Kill 5 wolves for it, and should be able to turn those in.

Otherwise, a DM might be able to help you by either giving you the quest item or resetting the quest stages (the first might not always work and not all DMs know how to do the latter).

Happened to me to, just go killing wolves and collect 5 skins and it completes fine.

Ah perfect, I'll just go hunting some wolves! I was convinced it was a quest-only item

if it was, like the orc quest with the head, you would have to abandon the quest and let it reset then do it all over again...

Nah thats not necessary with this one. Hunter Harrow's quest uses the same wolf hide item that Jorn pays for. Just go collect 5 more wolf hides and you can turn them in to Sam Feldepost in Beregost and advance the quest.
