A small dwarf would be stood presenting a couple of items, many seen likely at other shops but perhaps these might be for sale at a lower price as they all had seen some use. In particular the merchant had a ring set aside, it would have a note saying "Only to be traded for items of extreme value, the list of items as you call out are seen on a piece of parchment, and also displayed.
