Weapon finesse for touch attacks
On nwn2db.com it seems my weapon finesse is causing dex to apply to my touch attacks. I'm wondering if this applies to touch based spell casting as well?

Ranged Touch Attacks always use dexterity modifier. Melee Touch Attacks always use strength. Touch attacks ignore most of the target's AC, so it doesn't really matter once you get something like 10-15 BAB or something.

Re: Weapon finesse for touch attacks
I knew about the ignoring AC thing, but on nwn2db when you scroll over melee touch attack it includes dex because I have weapon finesse. I think I remember the 3.5 books specifying that melee spell touch attacks are always strength; even with weapon finesse. This is likely because weapon finesse builds are meant to rely on things other than spells. It seems that maybe a spellblade type build (fighter/caster) would be the best for what I'm trying to do, but I want to maintain the assassin style build you suggested. It sounds really cool actually
Idk what nwn2 is built based on exactly. It seems like a hybrid of a few versions (3.5, 4, and maybe even some new 5th edition stuff) and house rules that server creators came up with. I'm really digging this server. I played on bgtscc about 6-8 years ago or so (can't remember) but only got to level 18 and then went back to nwn1 because my cousin liked it more.

There is 3rd edition D&D, and there is 3.5 edition D&D. NWN1 was fairly similar to 3rd edition, and NWN2 was a partial update to 3.5 edition.

The actual version is 3.519-release candidate 11 revision 36, with exemptions of appendices F through R.
Update your source materials accordingly.

The most notable difference with 3rd edition and '3.519-release candidate 11 revision 36, with exemptions of appendices F through R' is the weapons. The former has weapons like in NWN1 and NWN2, while the latter has weapons divided into a multitude of different size categories.
