What is the most OP FS build?

I don't play caster much at all, so any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

FvS is OP. Pure FvS 26/4? Take a pick. You can go Rogue, Cleric, Blackguard, Fighter. Whatever you wish and the Favored Soul will stack bodies and break hearts all day.

By far the most powerful FvS' make use of Epic Divine Might Feat for the Holy damage that it grants.

Favored Souls and or Divine casters are not really casters in the sense that a arcane magic user is either. You are not really looking to use spells to blast things to death with them but instead buff yourself and party up to melee gods and start putting enemy through a buzz saw of weapon death that way.

I go with FvS26/R4 myself for the Evasion and Expose Weakness instead of Divine Might. I think damages are easy to up with divine casters in the first place and getting the OP feats of Evasion and Expose Weakness far outweigh Divine Might personally. I have found no issues in getting my damages up because I use UMD so my FvS can cast damn near every spell there is with scrolls anyway giving access to Flame Weapon (1d8 Fire damage), Holy Sword (2d6 Holy damage Vs Evil) and also divine casters have other divine damage spells that apply to evil and holy damages stack which is great. Of course I made my FvS Lawful Good for use of the Holy Sword on BG that is. Here you have to be LG to even cast that spell.

FvS26/C4 with water domain. Evasion/ expose weakness + EDM.

Yeah. I guess this one takes the cake.

But, as for other Favored Soul builds: Favored Soul 16/Blackguard 4/Darkfire Disciple 10 could be something to consider as well.

I have been playing around with the different combinations. These are my observations so far.

Going 26FvS/4 Rogues gives +2 more ac from tumble and UMD. You give up EDM but you gain better spread of stats and you can go Human with extra skills to play around with. However, EDM is like 16 holy damage at lvl 30. (I am not exact sure I want to use Holy Sword Scrolls. I mean I have no idea how I can get them..and I bet they are extremely expensive. Can wands be made?)

26 FvS/4 Cleric with water domain. Gains both EDM and Expose Weakness. Sacrifice a lot of stats and epic abilities to get the 21 strength and 21 charisma and of course the 2 more epic feats for epic prowess and expose weakness. If going Assimar, extreme penalty on lvling up.

26FvS/4 Paladin. Natural Choice with going Assismar. Divine Grace = a lot of saves, probably around 8 saves to all. Fear and Disease Immunities. No expose weakness and no bonus AC tumbles.

Not into the evil versions of the build that much..

Did I miss anything?

Anything else I am missing?

Cant say that Expose weakness really helps FS as much as It once did because their AB is through the roof with Divine Power and other such Divine spells(Expecually with the new Expose weakness). The most common yet powerful builds are EDM 26 FS and 4 of either BG or Paladin. Though builds listed above are also viable this route of the builds just makes your already high saves that much better

The Favored Soul 26/Rogue 4 build is usually strength based build with only bare minimum charisma for spells. You might have something as low as 16 charisma and use some Nymph Cloak +3 to get it up to 19 for 9th level spells... (Not that you need to, mind you.)

Thus higher strength means more AB, more AB means you can use stuff like Power Attack, and combined with Expose Weakness you lower the enemy AC...

Evasion is more important than expose weakness. One of the top defensive feats in the game, alongside steadfast you're essentially immune to anything allowing saving throws.

2AC is not important for favored soul, you're AC will be high enough and you have regeneration. UMD can be cross class. The first part asked for the most OP FvS and its FvS26/C4 with water domain.

Though I personally wouldn't play it...I like Sun Wukongs idea of mixing in black guard and DfD. It has cool factor...

What's the difference between a 28 CL and 30 CL?

The reason I asked for the most OP FvS is because I want to see how far a FvS can go in terms of soloing bosses.

Can it do Greypeak Balor? Can it even go further in soloing?

And to be honest, I am not considering toughness/steadfast on FvS.
I am already immune to Death spells from deathwards and I am also immune to mind spells. The most annoyng thing that can happen is rolling a 1 for bigy's but that checks every round so I can live with it.

It’s a matter of being as safe as possible from certain (common) forms of dispel.

As for your goal: lots of characters can solo bosses with relative ease.

None of them can solo the White Dragon, not even FS or equivalent.

Right the difference between a 28 CL and 30 CL is dispel protection. To be more clear on my question, which enemies can dispel a 28 CL and not a 30CL?

Because right now, I am thinking a 24 FvS, 3 cleric, 3 blackguard.

CL 28 is essentially a 10% chance of against Greater Dispel. CL 30 is still subject to getting spanked by a Mords.

It’s an OK build, but with the current meta, I would be careful in allowing clerics to dispel me.

I recommend gearing up accordingly.

Which means you want to get the +4 equipment for AC. Thus even if you get hit by dispel, it will not lower your AC by all that much.

Playing Favored Soul is pretty much just recasting Divine Power, Regenerate, Heal, Freedom of Movement, Superior Saves and Deathward.
