An old woman stands beside a pair of boots. They seem to be simply enchanted, but well enchanted nonetheless.

"You can find better boots, but some of you probably don't need all those extra enchantments. Those fancier boots might cost you about three hundred trade bars.

"These boots here have the most important protective enchantment you'll need, and I am selling them for one hundred trade bars. A good deal for the magical ward you need, without all the extra nonsense."

A young man walks up with a smile, he offers the woman a nod with his hat and raises his hand. "I'll pay the hundred, names Fingal Darius."

A huge half-orc galumphs by. "Stult give 120 bags."

Upon hearing the young man's surname, the old woman scrutinizes him more closely over the rims of her spectacles. "Oh ho, so I see. From House Darius, I gather? Very well, you h-"

Then the half-orc comes up and makes his higher offer, and the old woman nods. "I had not planned on making this an auction, but it looks like that's where this might be going." She gives Fingal a shrewd look, watching to see how he will react.

"Aye, House Darius."

He looked at the half-orc for a moment and then back at Wendi with a smile.

"Oh well, I was just looking for a good deal."

He tipped his hat and walked off.

The old woman nods at the half-orc. "All yours."
