I have a question

Can I get a help on the "Toggle Hostility" rule?

I had a pvp with some people at xvartz and it was a 4v2 fight. We were all well agreed on our pvp motives and fight happened. However, one enemy was screaming "you didn't toggle pvp me" when they were hipsing constantly and it was very hard to , as if i went into the P player system to find them, theyw ould kill me before i could cycle through the names and toggle hostile?

is this rule break a big issue? can we not just all understand that the toggle (if very difficult to do so against hipster) can sometimes be forego'd to have a even playing field?

Not every rule break is meant to be in malicious intent my friends. We are all here for one reason, have fun!

as i recall, an act of HIPSing/casting spell/gripping weapon tightly in front of another PC is a consent to PVP. Also can be considered RP out. HIPS to run away/walk away.

Ugh. It isn't minor. Not setting hostile will break mechanics left and right.

Please do not discuss this specific incident. If there are issues they need to be taken up in PMs with the DMs.

However, I would hate for this to be called a minor anything, or looked at as "ok to ignore". It should be anything but that, as it is the core of what makes pvp mechanics work. As a HIPser, however, it is imperative that you also are aware that they can't set you hostile easily if they cant see you, and you can do it too.

In the end, its a collaborative game, even during pvp, but its a game of mechanics as well and setting hostile is a primary switch that needs flipped.
