Azuth's Spell Shield vs. Spell Mantle

So here is a deep down and dirty arcane spell choice question: Azuth's Spell Shield or Spell Mantle?
Because from what I'm gathering here in my amateur research, is that with Azuth's SS granting SR 50, and Spell Mantle working only against spells with an SR check, AND that Spell Mantle can be put on a Wand, it seems that taking Azuth's SS over Spell Mantle is the way to go?!?
Follow up question: could one Empower Azuth's Spell Shield for SR 75? lol. If not,
shouldn't that be possible?!?

Azuth's Spell Shield has an incredibly short duration and gives yo 47 SR max (there's no way to get 50 because even if you cast it on yourself you cop the -3/-3 for being a target of the spell). Azuth's Spell Shield is also a divine spell, not arcane. Only clerics with patron deity Mystra or Azuth can cast it.
The Spell Resistance spell cast by a full CHA cler/hiero with advanced divine spell power can reach up to CL 43, which equates to 55 SR. I think only a drow/svirf with Monk 13 & divine champion bonus epic feats spent on Improved SR can get higher, and undispellable!

Can it really? According to the wiki, Improved SR is not included among the DC epic bonus feats...

Is this true? According to the main entry of the wiki, only duration gets reduced:
Each friendly creature together with the caster in an 8 feet radius gains 50 spell resistance for the duration of the spell. The duration is decreased by three rounds for every creature affected.
But then, you probably tested this...
