It took years for Aunrae's faith to cement. While living in Menzoberranzan, she knew only Lolth; thus, lip service for many years was offered to the goddess, if it could be called that. What she offered Lolth was emptier than lip service, laden with discomfort for the goddess. Upon being introduced to the existence of other gods such as Kiaransalee and Gargauth, the drowess was eager to offer these new deities her prayer.
This had proven to be her weakness. Within the first year of her time in S'shamath, Aunrae got wrapped up in a local Sharran cell. She unwrapped herself from its clutches thanks to two presences in her life, but her splintered mind shattered from the weight of what it cost her.
Currently, Aunrae finds solace in the duality of Vhaeraun and Sune. Through her love, she aims to complete his goal of bringing her people together once more, with or without the surface elves—preferably with. Like her primary god, she isn't above trickery or manipulation, but unlike him, she wholly eschews the idea of racial superiority; how could squabbling exiles be superior to flourishing surfacers?
Outside of her own worship, Aunrae respects several surfacer gods, one of which being Eldath due to personal history with their followers. However, the only other god to receive as much disdain as the Spider Queen is Eilistraee for her hypocrisy. Vhaeraun is unapologetically evil and recognizes this, but she? Eilistraee offers her clergy little accountability for their sometimes violent misandry, yet claims to be the drow goddess of freedom.
Physical & Mental Health
Her body may be the one thing that is truly well about her. Despite the hell that she—and others—put it through, it retains the vitality of youth. Her form is strong with lean muscle, yet as slight as her elfin brethren, if not slighter. Regardless, she is loathe to exert what little energy she has; the woman sustains herself on sugar, cake, and chicken, and will pick through anything else offered to her.
That energy surely isn't spent on holding her mind together. It's caught between two worlds, multiple philosophies, her faiths, and many more. It has resulted in a mask of joy and a series of high-risk behavior in a vain effort to live until she dies.
