Are Storage NPCs all the same, indifferent to location?

I ask because I remember someone saying no...if you place items at the Storage NPC in FAI, you cannot access in BGTSCC or Beregost, for example.

If that is the case, then I also just noticed that at FAI, with the NPC merchant dwarf that is NPC Storage, the storage window/gui is labeled "BG STORAGE," which...means that dwarf got kinda lost...or something like that. Right?

I think "BG STORAGE" is the name of the actual system Dedude wrote, rather than inferring it's the one meant for Baldur's Gate city. :) I can see why it's confusing though.

New storage is location dependent... no muling items between surface and underdark that way.

Alright, location dependent as I was not-very-well-remembering.

But yeah, the gui label tis a tad confusing.
