Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Shunasassi the beautiful and highly skilled elven wizard had started posting around the various towns and cities along the sword coast a small list of items for sale. The posting lists the items and requests any offers be directed to the Elfsong Tavern at Baldurs Gate.

Shunasassi Is now actually getting her hands dirty by actually entering the market place to hock her wares. She adds a few new items on her list and is asking people to simply provide their best, fair offers on the items on display (below).

A tall, smiling bard wanders up. "Name's Jack. How much for those bracers?" he asks, indicating the bracers of the blinding strike.

Greetings Jack, these bracers can be found at Magical Item merchant at Candle Keep but at an inflated price. I do not see any reason to do the same to you. If you can find good use for these bracers I will offer a one time very low price of 80 bags of gold. I priced checked with the merchant Phlydia at her shop in Candlekeep and event after some heated negotiations, she still offered to sell them for a much higher price.

A lanky man in an oversized fur-lined hat pauses for a moment to regard the list of wares being offered. Noting one of the number, be speaks up.

“Binder’s wisdom – Volga, pleasure to make your acquaintance. Say, how much would you be willing to accept in order to part with the unenchanted full-plate harness of mithral?”

"Well met, Volga is it?"
"Shunasassi Immeril of the Evereska Immeril's, a pleasure." *she smiles pleasantly*
"Hmmm..." *She pinches her chin and looks at the armour in question, thoughtfully.*
"I am guessing that right now there is a very fat and very drunk dwarf sitting around his mine, just giddy with glee, about having been the lucky one, that found that rich vein of mithril, used to flood the market with all sorts of armours. *her smile becomes a frown at the mentions of the dwarf and before she speaking again, there is a brooding silence, punctuated with a sigh.*
"There was once a time where such a piece of armour would be worth hundreds of bags of gold, you know.
I know that is not the case anymore....*another sigh* How about this?
You offer a fair price, with a promise this armour will be put to good use, and, if I feel you are not gouging me, the suit will be yours."
Sound fair?"
*she is smiling once more*

The man halts to think for a moment.
"I must admit, I'm no merchant with their ear carefully tuned to the ebb and flow of local markets. A couple tendays past I've seen a comparable suit at Mudd's shop for 125,000 coins. I've unfortunately not been in the market for such at the time. Conversely, I've overheard a similar suit, with only a sliver of enchantment on it, spark the price for a quarter million by some wealthy trader. How about we split the difference - 187,500 gold in total?"

*She smiles* A fair offer. I accept.
