Chiontar Seagull

Unread post by Oreles »

I'm not 100% sure how the feat Chiontar Seagull is supposed to work.

Context:
Over one attack cycle of 6 seconds, my character normally has 5 attacks (Monk 15). These are at 22/22/22/17/12. The feat describes only one attack being made over a an attack cycle.

Bugs:
When using 'The Seagull'...
  • Sometimes my character executes 4 attacks over one 6 second cycle. The first two are not listed as a flurry of blows and attack at 22 and 17, the second two are listed as flurry attacks and have a bonus of 22 to hit.

Sometimes he continues to execute his full flurry attack schedule with no changes.

Stunning fist and quivering palm can not be used with this feat. (If they could it would be of some utility.)

The animations for all the attacks are very strange. The character flails about with his hand as though he were holding a weapon (He is an unarmed monk). They seem unusually slow.

The slow flailing animation persists for several rounds after The Seagull has finished.
Suggestion:
A feat that serves as a means to land a stunning fist or quivering palm with more certainty.

Would a combat style, reducing attacks to one per round, giving a large bonus to attack and possibly ignoring concealment, using an on hit property that knocks down the attacker on a failed check, be viable?

It's a really cool feat. Thank you to whoever took the time to make it.
