Give Kama's a buff

I saw the server has recently given other weapons that people never use a buff. I suggest we do the same for Kama's ! They are garbage and nobody uses them.
1d6 20 x2 for crit.
I suggest we do a 19-20 x2 crit, but leave the damage to 1d6. This just makes them ever-so slightly more viable as a fighter weapon. Maybe even go as so far as to make them x3 crit (Or even 18-20 threat.), that way they become an interesting alternative for a scimitar. They require Exotic weapon feat or monk levels, so they are already difficult to justify there as well. It would be pretty cool to make use of them and not feel like they are crippling my character for doing so.
What does everyone else think?

Kamas are very powerful because they can be used with flurry of blows. This is the power multiplier for this weapon. Giving it more damage, either by increasing the stats or the Crit range is too much when this is used with flurry of blows. I don’t see any buff given to those weapons

One of the most powerful rogue builds in NWN2 uses kamas. Insane amounts of damage in the first flurry....Kamas are just fine. The key with the build though is that HIPS comes at level 29 or 30....I can not remember but yeah HIPS is really late in it.

Even though they are classified as "Exotic" weapons by D&D, they are actually peasant/farming tools for threshing grain. It would make little sense to have them perform more like a weapons specifically designed for combat.
That said, you could say the same thing about a Scythe... So how about Kama's are given a x4 crit multiplier!
j/k, of course... Monk dual wielders are just like any other dual wielders... You either need to be a high sneak build or mix in F12, Dervish or other PRCs to stack damage modifiers. Even if you improved the crit range and/or multiplier it would still not be the weapon to use as a Monk unless you are going for TWF (and thus going for some cross-classing to get damage elsewhere).

On the other hand, this applies to Scythe too, which is one of the best weapons.
And serves the exact same purpose as a sickle, just from a different culture.

Which is why I said:

It is a shame we can not make unarmed combat be used with twf style. It has always been odd to me that you have these master martial artists that only use one fist while fighting. It does not mesh with the trillion kung-fu movies I have watched. We should consider this when looking at the Kama's strength as a weapon as that is the monks only real alternative to using both hands in a scrap.
There is a handful of tier 1 builds that use ptwf with monk using kamas-rogues or fighters mainly. But there are way more monk builds (especially the pure monk build that I want to roll up next) that I beleive could use an enhancement like improving the Kama. The good will outweigh the bad here imo.
A little bit more crit damage, sure why not.

I’d be extremely wary about improving the kama. PTWF kama builds are slow starters usually but really dish out huge damage eventually, whether they are based around sneak, int damage or fighter cross class. Anyone remember mreiders kama wielding fighter monk? It tore bosses apart years ago, before life got easier.
No buff needed - just my two cents though.

Well, back in 3.5 PnP you used to be able to do that (or wield a weapon in one hand while using your unarmed strike in the other). It used to be an odd rule that way - you could declare attacks with any (reasonable) body part to be an unarmed strike (punch, kick, headbutt), but it would also qualify as two light weapons for TWF.
However, there are no double weapons in NWN2 (see: quarterstaff), and I imagine a toggle option for such would be a pain to code. Moreover, the way monks are balanced in NWN2, it would be a bit too OP to have that as an option, IMO.
Still, since you can declare unarmed attacks, you can always imagine a four-hit flurry as left jab, right hook, shin kick, elbow strike, for example.
