Where can one find or but mithral/mithril eauipment besides the market house?

Bearskin Armor (mithral breastplate) can be purchased from merchant Kalehir Shoomar ("epic shop"), in the Wide (Northwest corner of BG, East Gate District map).

Melodic Chainmail (mithral chainmail) can be purchased from merchant Elven Blacksmith in Doron Amar (also Northwest corner of the respective map). To get to Doron Amar, start from The Wood of Sharp Teeth. There is a transition unmarked on the map, labeled 'The Woods of Sharp Teeth' in the Southeast corner of the map.

Can also be fun RPed in game to gain the knowledge for your character too... and isn't access to Doron Amar 'restricted'?

Doron Amar access is restricted after the bridge so the merchant is available to all(except for orcs maybe can purchase with AFK tag)

Yep, makes much more sense.

Just as a general point, Epic Shops are required to be accessible to the public. While Orcs have a special issue, this is bypasses as stated above with an "AFK" tag. For those that think this is poor role playing I will just say that making some rule against it would just cause players to create mules to go pick up what they want, drop on a vendor and use disguise to get the item, so it doesn't add anything to the server by disallowing this (not to mention cutting off players from weekly quests, which would be a crappy penalty as well).

There are no epic shops behind gates requiring faction keys. If they sell anything epic, anyone can get to them.

as chad stated, but also if you do not wish to AFK to get what you want, there are other ways to get these things using RP in the community.

some paleskins and smokeskins don't care if i'm an orc and might kill you. my gold is good if you wipe away the dwarf blood.
