Requesting a tiefling blackguard build.

Restrictions/wishes:
  • 14+ int.
  • Low magic use or no magic at all.
  • PLayable at level 18. (don't wanna be heavily rest dependent)
  • Would be nice to have at least SOME battle abilities like knockdown so it won't be all about poking things to death with a sword. Or some helper skills like rogue's.
  • Would be nice to get the BG level 5 summon (the hound).
  • Neutral Evil or Lawful Evil preferred.
Otherwsie I'm open to different concepts. Sword and Board fighter, two handed fighter, etc.
If someone can make a blackguard ARCHER, that would be cool as well.

Worth keeping in mind that making a tiefling EDM user is extremely difficult due to their charisma penalty (I made EDM weapon master tiefling before, rather not do that again)

At work so can't provide full build, but I can give you some general advice.

Since Tiefling, going for EDM is out of the question. -2 CHA and no bonus to STR on top of 14 INT requirement makes that highly unlikely. However, the Blackguard aura for -2 Saves on top of sneak dice progression makes it a fantastic Shield Slam class. Here are some options to consider...

B20/BG10 or B20/BG5/DC5 - Why? Epic Rage means you will get really high Shield Slam DC. At max level your DC will be 10 + 15 (1/2 level) + ~16 (STR while raging) + 2 (BG Aura) = 43 Shield Slam DC. Add this to Improved Knockdown and you have a very solid battlefield controller. BG10 summon is a little better, but if only for RP Divine Champion 5 will give you a couple feats and with Eagles Splendor you can get some use from Divine Wrath.

R10/BG10/GFK10 - 11d6 sneak dice with Epic Precision. Still should go for Shield Slam and Feint. Has Ghost Walk for emergencies. Max STR build so ignore stealth.

F12/R13/BG5 - 8d6 sneak dice with Epic Precision. A decent mix of having Fighter/non-sneak based damage and a strong sneak ability when you want it. Fighter Feats make the shield line more accessible and R13 feat can be any epic feat or Improved Evasion.

The second two options get more benefit out of Shield Slam through sneak attack damage, but the Barbarian can pretty much keep enemies on their back or otherwise dazed/stunned almost indefinitely through Shield Charge, Shield Slam, Improved Knockdown and Pommel Strike. Of the sneak options, the GFK offers much needed escape since your saves won't be that great (though better than most rogue builds) while the Fighter/Rogue/Blackguard offers more offensive potential since sneak dice are lower, but Fighter allows for reaching higher AB and more base damage with Epic Weapon Focus/Specialization and Melee Mastery. Or you could go for the full Shield line (8 feats requirement) to get 3 APR with the shield so when your slam works or you otherwise get sneak attacks, you make more use of them.

Some other concepts:

The Blackguard debuff aura can help boost DC on an Assassin death attack. The fifth level of BG is probably "wasted" in this build but that's okay, since you wanted intelligence anyway a Swashbuckler 12/ Assassin 9 / Blackguard 5 / Rogue 4 perhaps?

If a Underdark Tiefling, a Feint build might be fun. Ranger /Blackguard 5/Wilderness Stalker / Guild Thief perhaps.

For another twist on Ghostface Killer, 10 Rogue/5 Man at Arms / 5 Blackguard/10 Ghostface Killer could be fun. I think you can fit Shield Slam on that build.
