So, as I understand it, Devil's DR is both Silver and Good, so you need Silver and Good on your weapon to get through their DR.

Bless Weapon, according to the write up, gives Good alignment onto your weapon. I have a Silver bastard sword called the Hallowed Redeemer (+3 eb, 1 blunt, 1d6 vs undead)

I put bless weapon on it it... and it did not penetrate the devil DR in the mines near Nahskel. Not even a little.

Just silver weapons work. The Devils casts Gr Stoneskin that is why he still has DR

If you say so, but I've never had a silver weapon by itself penetrate the defenses of any devil at any time ever. Or just good aligned weapons for that matter.

I'll run it again, but the Ereyens (however you spell that) for instance didn't have a chance to cast Greater Stoneskin, she only cast mirror image before she died.

I've never had silver weapons work when Avernus was a thing too, and I know they don't all spawn with Greater Stonskin cast. I just assumed it was supposed to be you had to stack silver and good and I didn't have the means.

alchemical silver weapons work well against devils.
Just 'silver' ones do not provide any benefit at all.

I have an alchemical silver weapon. That's my point. It goes right through Vampire DR, has never once gone through a Devil's DR for me. Not in 2 years of the game.

Is there a specific devil that this doesnt work for? Some bosses have extra DR/- for example. Alchemical silver always worked for devils.

which is why i want a good adamatium scythe but thats as rare as...well it's really rare...

adamantium bypasses all DR that's what we need....

The three I fought most recently were the Pit Fiend, the Fire Devil, and the summoned Erynes in the Nashkel mines. Not a single strike got through any DR. It was both Blessed/Good and Alchemical silver.

That said, when I went to Avernus with a +3 silver sword, nothing there has ever (by me at least) had DR bypassed with the silver sword. I just thought it was because didn't also have Good on the weapon.

I think some bosses have flat DR, and some monsters have too???

I used normal weapons+align weapon before against creatures in Avernus and the DR is bad which i cannot get through.
Then i changed to alchemical silver frost warmace+align weapon and it works well down there.

when i use alchemical silver+align weapon slashing weapon in the vault, it does not get through the 10DR, even the deathknight have 15DR.
Then i changed to alchemical silver frost warmace+align weapon and it works but not to Mummy Lords that still have 10DR even when i use slashing/bludgeoning+align weapon.

The Speartop trolls and the lizard also needs bludgeoning weapon, and the oozes.

you silver weapon need to be +3 eb or more not just silver weapon +3 Eb and silver then cast greater dispell on him if he have time he will cast greater stone agian but

Actually, adamantine only pierces /adamantine DR such as Stoneskin, Premonition and Ethereal Visage. An adamantine weapon will not bypass, for example, dwarven defender or barbarian DR, or a warlock's cold iron or silver DR.

I would like to mention that this is still a thing.

I've run the Dwarf Mines several times since the original post.

The Fire Devil's 10 point DR does not get bypassed by Silver Weapons or a weapon with Bless Weapon, which is supposed to make it "good" aligned to bypass DR.

The Erynes' 5 point DR is the same.

The Pit Fiend's 15 point DR gets bypassed by Silver (this is literally the first time I've ever had this work on any devil ever, even through numerous trips in Avernus), but not by a Blessed weapon with "good."

As there are no other readily available Devils I am aware of, I can't test it further.

I think the Gate summon (available to fight in Ogre caves) is suspectible to +3 silver weapons. Might be worth testing. (I'm not keen on testing it, too risky!)
