The closet place i can go to is the haunted house in cloakwood central because the Helm Horrors give 27 XP.

You can get more than that by RP'n with someone. The RP XP script is amazing.
Solomon, Luckbringer of Tymora ~ A copper to the Lady, returns tenfold in gold!!
Dartryn Mallocant, Evoker Mage ~ "Do you have time to talk about magic?"
Traegan Daershun, Archer of the Whitewood Vanguard ~ "Of course we'll help...for a price."

Try the troll claws so long as you have good ac
Edit: also, don't expect to ever gain more than about 35xp per kill besides bosses in epic levels. Just doesn't happen.

OK. so depending upon what you do well or what weakness you wish to minimize, Fields of the Dead, Nashkel mines, and Troll Claws are really good for top XP. Easier than those but with more danger from other players, would be Kro's in the UpD. Down there you might run into a Drow or Orc and so you must be prepared for that. They also gotta be prepared for you though.

Thanks. So far I have 48 AC and most of my gear is +4 except for my deflect ring, two universal save items, and my strength items.

You may like the Basilisks area outside of durlag tower. They spawn fast, decent xp, no dispel area and a couple of chests as well. You will only need 20 Fort & Will and possibly steadfast determination to avoid bad surprises.

I like this area as well simply because there aren't often many folks around. The only issue is every now and then it seems like the undead from Durlag's (up the ramp) like to wander down for whatever reason and make your life complicated, but otherwise its fine.darwin.evenwood wrote:You may like the Basilisks area outside of durlag tower. You can get there from Gullykin, the halfling's village just south of Beregost.

*Looks at the responses.* *Sighs loudly.*
What is your build exactly? What feats do you have? Got a weapon with fire and acid damage? How is your strength score again?
Anyhow... From Nexus:
Soubar -> North to Boereskyr Bridge
At Boereskyr Bridge you have two choices, either you take the northern area transition or southern area transition point.
If you go North, there is an area with Hobgoblins, Manticores, small Dragons, Dark Treants and bat like creatures. You can move in this map quite freely, the mobs tend to spawn in groups of 1 to 5, so if you can kill them fast the experience adds up. North of this map you will find the moors, which have Vampires that have something like up to 20/DR. If you go East you will reach Misty Forest which in turn has quite a number of Grey Orcs for you to slaughter if you just run along the path up and down. The Orc Shamans can have a nasty high AC when they shapeshift, but over all they are not too dangerous.
- The Shimmer Cloak for its 32 DR is quite necessary for the above areas. The Hobgoblins have two caster classes and Spell Resistance will negate most of their spells. The vampires also have few spell casters, and again Spell Resistance is handy. Oh, and the Grey Orcs too have spell casters, and Spell Resistance becomes quite handy. These there areas have been where I have found most of my Mithral Full Plates, etc... There have been some loot-table changes though, so not sure if you still can find such there.
If you go South, you can go to the combined Troll Claw Fjord map. You can start by entering the Elder Ogre Fortress on the North-Eastern corner, then the Ogre Cave Proper while taking a peek at the Titan Fist mines before returning to the surface, or if you want more Upperdark Exploration then the Kro's Labyrinth areas might still be available to a surfacers. Anyhow, you return to surface, you run around every passage of Troll Claw Fjord, pop into the Troll Cave, and then head south to the Fields of the Dead to loot it too. You can visit the easier crypt on the North-Western side of the map. Then take the Eastern exit to some bugbear area, visit the cave with vampire bats etc, and return back to Boereskyr Bridge where Soubar is just one transition away.
- Shimmering cloak will help in the above, but high AC and stacks of Healing Kits will get most of the job done for you with ease. There are bosses like the Ogre Chieftain that can be nasty with Level Drain, but you can pretty much just ran past him. The experience per regular mob will be something in between 5 to 35, but you can easily get few thousands of experience points in an hour or so, not mention tens of thousands worth of loot when sold to NPC merchants. Not to mention that since you just running through areas, the grind will be considerably less boring for you.
Now as for the late epic levels, you got the gnolls somewhere... But if you can kill the Troll Cave trolls fast, and you got the Track Feat with cross-classed survival... Turn on Track Mode, see where trolls are, turn it off and run to your next kills. It gets the job done rather fast. But if you want role-play you will not find it in the Troll Cave. Either you encounter the entirely OOC Zerg Parties that just Zerg Forth for the sake of Zerging Forth, or the silent XP leechers who send party invites without any semblance RP, or probably some group of players who wish to initiate PvP in order to claim the map for themselves, and if you fail to appease these type of players they will complain to get you banned.
I wish I was kidding...
But yeah, that is a road map to reaching level 30 on the surface, solo. Now, to write the post I got here to actually write...
