House Fernanda of Athkatla, if anyone has even heard anything of it for years, has said to have had its owner and operator, Natalia Fernanda, enter into a contractual business arrangement with the Golden Wheel Company, becoming the Nashkel based company's Head of Amnian Operations. Natalia, a former Amnian military veteran and cleric of Waukeen, is already said to be spreading For the company The Glory Of doing business with Amn in the north. She may also have been seen escorting Director Bethany of the Golden Wheel company back to Amn under the banner of the Golden Lady after Bethany had business in Baldur's Gate. Later, Natalia may have been seen heading south to Athkatla with a Golden Wheel delegation into the Cloud Peaks, helping to ready the Trade Way route south for a merchant convoy headed north soon from Amn. Her prayers to Waukeen for profits and "sales greater than costs over many prospective quarters" may have been heard echoing in the peaks to any passerby as may have her business and combat battle cries of "FOR PROFIT" and "FOR MY EMPLOYER" and of course "FOR THE GLORY OF AMN".

A leather clad man swaggers into Nashkel late one night, smashing the door of the inn at length to be let in. Rumor says he paid the innkeeper well for the disturbance as well as the kitchen opened for him. And several bottles delivered.

Far into the morning and nearly as high noon calls, the bleary eyed man makes forth, a bottle of wine in his belt, looking for someone who knows of this group of merchants called "The Golden Wheel".

A ten-day or so later once Kiran, Director of the Golden Wheel returns from a trip to visit his favorite drinking hole in Nashkel, the innkeeper informs him of the above story, saying it was rather curious and that he did not get a name, only a description. Kiran, in turn, would speak to the local messengers of Nashkel to see or hear if they knew of someone of that description and paid a small sum for them to give the man a message if they did.

Kiran would inform the same messagers how the man could reach him in turn should he get the message, either at Nashkel or Baldurs Gate.

Rumours spread that a large caravan set out from Baldurs gate to the North. The expedition consisted of a hundred people, including guards, several well-dressed merchants and a convoy of covered wagons. The wagons had the insignia of both The Golden Arrow and The Golden Wheel displayed.
Image
Much later the same group was seen at the north gate, however, their cargo was gone and several of the merchants were being carried or helped by guards or their fellow colleagues, the talk was that the men and women seemed injured but in good spirits, ending their journey at the Blushing Mermaid.

Rumours spread of another Caravan running through Nashkel, a wagon packed with goods unknown, led by a various assortment of guards as well as a group of merchants. On the side of the Wagon would be a emblem, a Golden Wheel.

The Caravan would make it's way through goblin infested woods to the Friendly arms where some of the guards and merchants would water and feed the horses, during this time some banter was shared with the caravan and a woman whom claimed to be a pirate of some sort, though no one can fully confirm exactly what was said. The procession went on without incident

The Caravan continued on its Journey North, the people amongst the crew of the convoy joking and taking a relaxed pace, the scenery distracting some while the more vigilant kept an eye on for any trouble.
Image
Once it arrived at Baldurs gate, rumours have it something odd occurred. Some claim that the caravan was stopped by a few men in shining armour, amongst them the leader of the Radiant Halls. Others claim that the Flaming Fist themselves had asked the large procession to open up their wagons to show their goods. Locals say that a lot of shouting was sent back and forth, some specifically recalling a woman in shining armour calling the northerners fish folk and some other odd sayings, though no one could fully confirm what exactly was said, it was something about fish. A large crowd had gathered according to sources, the merchants with the caravan being called devil folk, necromancers and worse according to a local lad who claims he saw the whole thing.

Whatever happened, the caravan supposedly kept going after a long pause towards whichever destination it was going, and who knows what cargo it had with it to have caused such hearsay.

The people in Nashkel would have seen something unusual today, a woman covered in brightly dressed colours and also a noble haughty full blooded elf had entered the local inn and were having a meeting with two directors from the Golden Wheel.

One of the local drunks got a bit too nosey and tried to overhear through the door to the meeting using his drinking glass, though he left baffled. Talks of something called a forest lord was heard, he was also certain he heard someone juggle while the conversation was flowing which made no sense to him at all.

Image

One bit the man was able to recall and told his fellow drinking partners was that the Golden wheel was going to war, but due to the juggling, he couldn't hear with who or why.

Natalia of House Fernanda in Athkatla would seem more certain and sure of the superiority of Amn to most as she terms it “northern barbarians” than ever before. When she returns to Nashkel from the recent trade mission north with the Golden Wheel she begins to write a treatise on the moral, cultural, and administrative supremacy of Amn to Baldur’s Gate and other northern villages and plans to hold various seminars comparing the “fishing villages of the north” versus “Glorious Amn” at various junctures in the near future — for a fee of course. She plans to report her preliminary findings as such to the Board of Directors of the Golden Wheel in the meantime.

She is particularly befuddled at how in her mind barbarian northern fisherman vigilantes in Baldur’s Gate known as “radiants” had any presumption of authority to disgrace noble commerce of Waukeen coming from Amn. She was also extremely distressed at how badly she thought these “radiant fisher peoples” were dressed and smelled like “coppers”.

In the realm of commerce otherwise, she plans to travel soon to Eshpurta to cultivate possible trade opportunities there with “inferior” northern markets.

An Avowed Seeker and Acolyte in tow arrive with a missive for The Golden Wheel Trading Company, from the Office of the Guide. Too, they have a missive to Kiran directly.

The prisoners had been brought out.

Though for the seven figures standing at the back, they had all come to witness the execution of one of the damned prisoners, the necromancer and Banite known as Morgan Blackrose.

Many of the Golden Wheel and even their directors had been affected by this woman, though so had many others on the coast, some much more. They had all gathered to see the ending of this vile necromancer, some perhaps looking forward to her suffering, others just there to see a conclusion, a finality to all that had happened in those short few months.
Image
It seemed for the Wheel, and everyone on the coast, that the necromancer was far from finished.

It was raining.

None the less there seemed to be quite a busy crowd by the eastern district, merchants and would be buyers haggling back and forth, voices raised as the good spirited trade continued. Amongst them stood a black-clothed gloriously mustached man and a darkly hooded figure too.

Image

The man with the Mustache was waving his hands back and forth, the merchant he was talking and gesturing to sort of nodding his understanding, coins were exchanged and three men left the scene, all with a smile on their face.

A slight notice was left near the merchant that if anyone was seeking appraisal services, that they should seek out the Golden Wheel or write to Kiran, of the Golden Wheel, personally. All correspondence left either in Nashkel or the Elfsong inn in the East District.

It was raining, as always.

Per usual a merchant in brown robes displaying a wonderful moustache was haggling on behalf of a client, the two merchants cursing and shouting at one another till their heads turned red, some say days, if not weeks passed, someday a few minutes though, whatever time it took a customer left, somewhat .. happy, and a merchant left, a little richer.
