Signs are posted within the Wide of Baldur's Gate, and on the bulletin board of Greenest:

Word is left with the Tavern owner Orniff.
“I only know this man by name and reputation among the folks of Greenest. I’ve even set eyes upon he and another out there in those parts fighting the foul beasts that surround its inhabitants. Ask Orniff, why does this man sell such a favored weapon? Perhaps a swordsman like myself could negotiate a trade?”
The hooded man tells Orniff that he will return in a few days notice from Nashkel. Patrons of the bar, if asked, would say that the man carried 3 rapiers on his belt side and is often times spotted outiside of Geenest Villiage offering safe passages to travellers and merchants alike going through the area.

Upon hearing word of the visit, Jackard seemed interested. Alerting his partner Solomon, the pair drank to the opportunity (or used the opportunity to drink?), reveling and buying drinks for those present in the small tavern for the night.
When the hooded man returned to trade, he would likely find them both there.

When the man bearing the name Jackard should return to the Tavern, he would find a golden coin layed out on the table with a cold ale, requested to be served upon his arrival. With that, a scroll set aside to read:
Orniff would present a small box of treasure that would accumulate to the wealth near 100,000 golden coins upon appraisal. On the side a Golden Rapier bearing magical enchantments: +4 Enhancement
Bonus Feat: Improved Critical Rapier
Haste (5) 1/day
Only Usable by CE, CG, CN, N
