Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Just tried to utilize the feat Weapon and Torch with a Bastard Sword + Torch against Trolls in the Troll Claws, to no avail.

My PC has the feat, but it shows no application of damage in the off-hand when equipped. Or..are torches broken still? And could this be the reason? Do I need to take out my Candelabra of Ultimate Destruction instead?!?

And did you activate the feat ?

I have it in my Feats page. It usually gets added the first time you equip a 1-handed weapon plus Torch, which I probably did many months ago.

I also put the feat in the Hotbar, and funny thing is when you click it, it goes to a 3 second Cooldown ( ), but still nothing happens.

Is there another way of activating the Feat after it is in the Feat list for your PC, and after equipping a Torch + 1-handed weapon?

I had it working for quite a while, then all of a sudden it stopped working and behaved as the OP describes. I think there mght have been a message along the lines of "you need to have a torch equipped for this feat", even though I did.

Yeah, just tried -it's broken now . It was working fine before (with a torch in the offhand - never tried with laterns and such.....)

Where do we find these new torch models?

Sorry Chambo, it ain't working. First, it would seem the Torches that I already have are exactly the same as the first torch model option in the Appearance Changer.

Second, Shield Slot appearance Changer has 3 model slots to adjust, and adjusting the Torch does weird things like: a) removes the top part; b) leaves the bottom handle part but combines this with any other model options (an overlap).

No matter what configuration I try to setup in the Appearance Changer, I cannot get any Feat to activate for Torch Fighting. Can you give some clearer instructions? Cheers.

As i've never changed the default torch model, why does it not work with a default torch?

I was trying for exactly that, Chamms. Unfortunately, when using the AC, it does not report to the Combat or Chat window the model numbers.

Would it be too much to ask to have a new Item added to some NPC merchants with the name of “Torch of Fighting” or something, with the proper models set?

But then again, it you make it less restrictive so both metal torches and stick torches can be used, then those of us that epically fail at using the AppChanger, can still benefit from a truly great Feat in this game.

Did this get fixed?

Does that include lantern fighting? (which is a base item torch)

I'm sad. Umbrella was the best torch to fight with. Especially for Monks! Maybe we can get an umbrella improvised weapon for Drunken Masters instead?

Why not? Ive been lantern fighting for as long as this feat has existed.
