Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

The in-game description for the Level 7 'Duelist' class feat 'Elaborate Parry' says that it should provide +1 deflection AC for every 6 ranks invested in Parry. My character isn't currently receiving any benefit of the sort. However, he does gain the increased ranks in Parry based on his Duelist level as the skill also describes.

I have confirmed this issue with DM Bauldr but he was unable to provide a solution and suggested a post be made here.

What armor do you wear? Also, do you have any items with deflection bonus?

I currently have a ring that gives +3 deflection, and I lose that AC upon removing it. The DM had me remove all my gear while we tested it.

It works only in cloth armor, it doesn't do anything when you're not wearing any armor, resting and then putting on cloth should help.

I'll try that and post my results. I do usually wear cloth, so I'll rest with all my gear off and then put it on and see what happens.

Edit: That seemed to do it. I can remove my +3 deflect ring now without losing any AC. When I put on my cloth (+3 armor) my AC went from 18 to 24, so I assume the other 3 was the feat kicking-in. Thanks for your help!

it should also be noted that elaborate parry is providing deflection AC which doesn't stack. Thus the bug could have to do with using a deflection item. I recommend wearing cloth armor or no armor and resting or relogging with no deflection items on.

Just re-equip the cloth.
