If your character was looking at someone, and they started doing strange hand movements and you had enough spellcraft to understand what they are doing then yes.

most spells require advanced hand and arm movements to be able to cast which is why they cant wear Armour without the proper training. (This is what Still magic is for) Even if they are silent.

When Charraj had auto-still and auto-silent he used a macro each time he cast a spell to explain that spells were casts without gestures or words...

Downside with those metamagics is that unless your PC has enough spellcraft to identify the spell, they won't know that still/silent was used and it needs to be emoted by the mage player each time.

Wolfrayne first all it is not much spell craft you need to know what they doing if they doing strange hand movements and if you have spot as well then you have keen eyes to understand and spellcraft is only to Identify the spell they about Metamagic feat Still Spell to cast the Arcane Spell Failure most spells require advanced hand and arm movements it is use to unlock the enery power before casting

Spot means you will see them doing something, But for all you know they could be waving their hands around like an idiot for fun. Spellcraft allows you to identify the intricate hand and arm movements required to cast a spell. Sure you might assume i am casting a spell, but if im just waving my hands around how would you know unless you knew i was a mage? it would be an assumption

Still spell litterally takes away the somatic component of the spell meaning you understand it in such a way that you no longer need to do the movements.
