Deadeye shot use with Animal Companion

As a Ranger build with an animal companion, how good is Deadeye shot?

i.e. is it worth burning two feats for it? (point blank shot and deadeye shot)

Looking for feedback on the feat.

And just to confirm, it only removes "Dexterity bonus to AC" on that flurry you use deadeye? And only for your attack flurry, but your party (or animal companion) gains no similar advantages?
