Bard Spell Duration

I recently RCR’ed a character to try out the Olin Gisir PRC. I started with bard, then took Stormsinger, then Dissonant Chord and finally Olin Gisir. Currently 18th level. I have selections, spells per day and bard songs of 18th level. However, all of my spell durations seem to be based off of my 5 bard levels instead of 18. Therefore, spells like extended haste last 10 rounds instead of 36.
On a side note, I picked silent spell as a metamagic feat as Olin Gisir requires 2 (extended and one other). I didn’t realize silent spell doesn’t work at all with bard spells. I guess it makes sense but it shouldn’t even be a choice to avoid taking feats that are literally useless. Any way that could be swapped out for a different metamagic?
