Northbound quests

Most of the Gate quests are southbound geographically (unless I have missed them). Would be nice with a few northbound quests. Suggestions:
1) Contract from pleasant Flaming Fist captain to kill 10 bugbears on Thundar's ride (drops bugbear ears) and help to make the way north more safe.
2) Collect 3 vampiric bat wings (meat drops) for Ragefast.
3) Collect wolvesbane (or such), growing on the banks or the river on Thundar's ride.
4) Collect 1 Ettin hide for Candlekeep (excellent papyrus material).
Are there some 5-10 undead areas for all you pallies and clerics and holy people? Perhaps make a couple more crypts in Farmlands East explorable?
I wish I could offer help in building ... as I understand this takes time.
