Appearance

An unfortunately unhandsome drow male. His bulbous bald head, dead-fish stare, protruding verminous ears and narrow jaw lend him the characteristic likeness of an osquip (giant rat). He is small for a drow - the runt of the litter - unimposing in every way. Though ugly, he dresses himself in neat black leather from neck to boot. A cowled midnight piwafwi, a little too large for him, encloses his form and conceals everything he is and carries. Knee high jet black boots are hushed with enchantments of Silence to mask his passing. Perhaps not strangely for an assassin, there is no noticeable fragrance about him.

Background

When asked about himself, Sz'wit usually has little hesitation informing the inquirer of his origins in Jhachalkhyn - a city not far south of Menzoberranzan. He is quite confident in asserting what his profession is to the listener, too, as if that were his pride; a vel'glarn - an assassin. Networking as he does with drow from all spectrum of society, it would be easy to presume this drow is simply come unto The City to solicit work where he can find it.

Goals

-To retain a largely professional neutrality in Sshamath's political and social arena, taking contracts from anyone and against anyone
-To assemble a small group of assassins, though not necessarily to lead them
-To garner a reputation as deadly among his peers
-To take opportunities for quick advantages outside of his vel'glarn career path - largely through means of burglarizing, theft, extortion and kidnapping

The little black book containing Sz'wit's sketches of anatomy, poison recipes, spells of Illusion, Necromancy and Enchantment also contains small sporadic journal entries, such as follow;

Snared a gol in the tunnels. Subdued it and returned it to a Darkwood apartment. Summoned the gol speakers. The faern, he successfully extracted the information by Enchantment then eliminated the gol. He deigned not to learn where the best caravan spoils were stashed, in favor of pursuing other avenues of inquiry the forthcoming gol presented. What we uncovered is glaringly less immediate in profit but very intriguing.

We were followed. The apartment was firebombed with us inside. I had thought in the moment that one of the others meant to betray and keep the information for themself. But in hindsight it was foolish - fire isn't the faern's style to say the least, and we only narrowly escaped alive by way the yath's magic. When in fear of her life she chose a rune marked somewhere under Rockrun. It is worth noting.

Returned to the scene of the fire to make inquiries outside. None afoot but vermin; svirfneblin, rivvil and tiefling. No one in Darkwood likes to talk. We'll see what comes of it.
