Greeting to all.
First I would like to thank anyone and everyone in advance. And a bit thank you to Maecius for allowing me to post this.

With out going into to much detail, recent events in my life has put me in and out of homelessness and I am currently a Single father of a 2 year old baby girl. I have worked very hard to get myself and my daughter into a safe, stable apartment of our own, a car, full time employment and more. My daughter has finally been getting the care she needed being with me she is a happy healthy little adventurer.

Recently due to a forced update by Microsoft I found my faithful computer has finally been claimed by the tech gods. Leaving me with out a way to do much of anything. I have been trying to learn some new trades such as network security, Python3 programming and mobile development. As well as looking for a better job then working a low paying retail job. A lot of which I used my faithful laptop for. As well as being able to play my dwaven muscle wizard Theodar Battleforge in my down time.

To cut to the chase, I wanted to put this out there and see if anyone might happen to have a "heavy" purse and are willing to donate to my cause to cover the cost on repair or replacement of my now brick of a computer. If not I will be able to save up over time and replace it on my own however that may take me as long as a year to due so. PLEASE DO NOT FEEL PRESSURED I am only asking if anyone does wish to donate they can. Otherwise I thank you for simply reading and understanding why/where I have vanished to.

My goal is set to $300 as that should be enough to get something basic to help me find better work. Anything more only helps me get something stronger and more reliable.

Thank you to everyone for all your help and fun along the way, I hope to see you back in game soon!

I want to thank everyone for their support once more. And provide an update.

After numerous phone calls to Microsoft I was directed to go In store for a repair.
At the store the Microsoft Tech could not fix it. And directed me to HP
After waiting hour to be connected HP refused to fix or even provide support with the issue with out payment for an issue they most likely cant fix. Saying "your warranty is expired"

The cost of the HP tech support would cost more then the parts or a replacement used unit.

As such thanks to a buddy of mine who helped me find all the parts I need with a few parts discounted because he had them "thank you SirGabrielk" I manage to order the pieces of a rather nice gaming Computer (some assembly required).
Total cost of the rig comes to $425+ a bit of tax and shipping cost
A little more then I would have like to spend but the cost for a used working unit of my old PC would have been around $220 so all in all I will be getting a Better and more reliable set up to help me continue my quest learning mobile Python3 and more.

I hope to see you all in game again soon.
Thank you all!

Did you get enough via crowdsourcing to cover the extra costs?

Just an update for those who wish to know.

While very tight, I manage to get most of the parts I need. A few have already arrived other will be here as late as the 5th. Aside from needing better monitor, need time to create a USB bootable IOS and maybe some sata cables or such I SHOULD be able to put it together and be back online after 2-3 more paychecks ((around July))

Thank you everyone amd hope to see you soon!
