Some poor Flaming Fist soldier gets taken over by an illithid. He served the Flaming Fist. Should have served Amn and this never would have happened. Illithids love Amn!

Might be the first game since Dragon Age Origins that I purchase upon release....ugh, have gotten used to paying pennies on the dollar over at GoG for my gaming habbit.

Yes, and yes. Aaand Icewind Dale III. Since Obsidian aren't the ones making BGIII, it would only be natural for them to make IWD3, since a lot of the key people at Obsidian were the original makers of the IWD games (under Black Isles).

That would be cool aye, I believe I read that Lyrian say the events in BG3 are 100 years in the future of BG2. So old characters coming back I think will be unlikely unless they are of longer lived each.

There may be references in game with regards to things like statues and books that talk about the old heroes we travelled with. Which would of course bring about a welcome blast of nostalgia. I'm pumped for it.
