Image Hosting Site?

So what are you peeps rocking for an image-hosting service these days?
I was using Tiny Pics, but they shut down in September.
Or is it possible now to upload an image to our server, without having to use an external host?
I'm asking relative to images included in posts.

I personally avoid all the image hostings because you have no guarantees your picture won't disappear after a month or two (which keeps happening to people's pictures here), also these loads of add are annoying. Best solution is always most simple, so I'd just recommend using discord or vk for it. Just send an image to yourself in a pm -> open it in a separate window -> copypaste a link to it on the forum -> done. You could click at my journal links in the signature, these pictures uploaded to vk.com last for years and still look pretty nice.

I use Imgur.
"Imgur keep images for ever as long as they are receiving at least 1 view every six months. If they are not they may be deleted to save space. Popular images and those shared on Imgur will probably meet this criteria due to becoming viral and being better accessible."

Before I quit I was using Dropbox. You need to change the end line of the image, though. For example (just taking a random picture from my dropbox):
Code: Select all
https://www.dropbox.com/s/tgawr4uwrpjd7yc/Earth-Venus%20Orbits.gif?dl=0
Change the
?dl=0 portion to
?raw=1
Code: Select all
https://www.dropbox.com/s/tgawr4uwrpjd7yc/Earth-Venus%20Orbits.gif?raw=1
And then you'll get this:

Thanks guys for the hints and the OP for asking the question before it even came up from within me

.
Already used Dropbox for my newly linked pictures and will try to set up old lost ones as well
