Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

I took the crusader kit at the start of my paladin creation. She is now lvl 10 pal and her weapon of choice is rapier. But when I wield a rapier, it says that the condition for her crusader defense isn't met. The only condition listed is that she wields her weapon of choice.

How it should be is that when you unequip your Rapier, the Combat Log should print "Crusader defense conditions not met."

Does the Character Sheet feat of "Weapon of Choice" say "(Rapier)?"

Yes, and it says it when I Equip it.

Are you also equipping a shield along with the Rapier? And/or is this Rapier one of those with custom Shield AC on it (sold in Roaringshore)?

Cause otherwise, I'd say your PC is bugged, and you might have to RCR. Luckily, the PC is only Level 10 so you won't lose XP.

Would assume you need to be a small race to grip a rapier two-handed.
As a medium race can't do that.

I'm thinking this has got to be the answer. And we should update the Wiki so that all small weapons are identified to be causing this issue.

She is aasimar and 10 paladin/3 duelist.

would the duelist bug the defense? and no its not one of the AC rapier, its a +3 silver, keen.

So it can only be gained with 2hand weapon?

A Crusader must choose one two-handable weapon to specialize himself into.

But it can be used with monkey grip?

No, none of the finessable weapons can be two-handed with a medium race.

However a small race can grip a Handaxe, kama, light hammer, mace, rapier, short sword, sickle and a whip with both hands.

This is your issue. A rapier is not a two-handed weapon for a medium-sized race, even when no shield is wielded in the off-hand slot. SRD even specifies this:

It seems that NWN2 coding has correctly applied this forgotten rule of rapiers which has an incidental flow-on effect to your intended Crusader concept.

I have no issue at all, it works fine as it is designed.
