To fellow members of the Hawk,
I hope this raven-delivered letter finds as your guidance well as Helm's is much needed. We have grievous news to give to you. A knight under the Torm banner has been felled by an assassin of Bane. A magical dagger was left behind along with other magic items, but the dagger seems to be of the Netherese making it that much more important. The two along with the items were found outside the Phoenix Company Inn. I need a return letter as to what needs to be done next and if I should be involved in the manner. I can see a lot of good coming out of this and the order if you allow for me to get involved. I will make sure to keep my distance should Bane cult truly be involved. Solving the mystery can help with the order's reputation. Please write back as soon as possible.
