So!

Duelist has a 1d6 proc on every attack you make while using a piercing weapon.

There's a handaxe sold in Gullykin that has 1d6 piercing damage in addition to its base 1d6 slashing damage.

Does that handaxe allow duelist Precise Strike to trigger?

It's about the specific weapon types, so only daggers, shortswords, rapiers and spears will work.

What about halberd or morningstar where the damage is two types as base?

theoretically yes

and "bonus damage" never quals for stuff like that, "extra melee damage" tho probably does since it adds that damage type as base damage

I don't know, I assumed it was Finesse weapons only. But it's only mentioned as piercing.
Does state not two-handed, however. So a morningstar might work, fits the description. :D
But then darts should fit the description too. So a brutal throw duelist assasin, might be a thing.
But you'd have to drop the shield. Still.
