Damage Reduction Question - 2/- vs S/B/P 2/-

So I'm doing a bit of an upgrade with one of my character's equipment and I'm trying to decide between two items. The specifics are not too important, but both give a little bit of damage reduction. The first gives 2/-, so pretty standard. The second gives 2/- for Slashing, Bludgeoning, and Piercing.

Is there a difference here, or is one item's description just long winded? As far as I'm aware the 2/- item should cover all three physical damage types and nothing more, but the other item is specific about the types of damage. Is there a type of damage the second item won't cover? How will the second item interact with weapons that do multiple types of physical damage?

The specific properties are as follows:

Resistance: Bludgeoning Resist 2/-
Resistance: Piercing Resist 2/-
Resistance: Slashing Resist 2/-

The item is Deathguardian Bracers, in the old avernus shop.

It could be cheaper, but it's definitely more confusing. Thank you very much!
