Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

At first I thought this was an anomaly, but it has now persisted through a few resets and in 2 different aspects of the Quest.

Yesterday, I tried to pick up Giant's Dung for the Imp's Ingredients quest, and was unable to acquire said dung. You can click on it, you can examine it, but the quest doesn't pick it up and put it in your inventory nor update the quest either.

Today, I had the opportunity to get the other 2 ingredients, so I managed to get the Minotaur's Horn—though that is a loot drop AND it updated the quest listing. However, the Moon Moss attempt failed just like yesterdays Giant's Dun (you can click it and examine it but nothing happens to the quest list and nothing goes into Inventory).

Now, I've only seen this on the same, one PC, so it could be a specific PC issue. I'll try to follow up on that, unless someone else can confirm the quest is working for them today.

I know, I know...a broken quest!!! We all shudder in fear....

I seem to recall a similar bug in this quest happening to me as a result of dropping the ingredients after picking them up and then trying to acquire them on a later reset (which subsequently fails). Could this have been what happened or probably not?

Eventually, I went back to the Imp and "turned down" his request, which finished the quest without reward. The following week, I was able to take the quest again. I don't remember dropping the items at any time, but perhaps that was the issue after all.
