Hello

I am leveling an arcane trickster but i either am doing it wrong or it isnt working (i am hoping im just doing it wrong)
The ranged touch sneak attack never happens, i thought it might need the same conditions as normal sneaks, so....

I let the mob attack my summon, i moved in close behind the target and fired a Sonic Orb at it.. nothing!
Fired my bow at the same target from the same position, Sneak attack

Any help ?

Ranged Touch sneak attacks don't register like normal sneak attacks because they patched in. The engine doesn't recognize what a ranged touch sneak attack is. You need to observe the numbers.

When i cast one of the orb spells, it shows the damage as Sonic, but i dont see any physical damage with it.
Does the sneak attack damage add as the element of the spell ? or should i see

or
24(Acid)

It adds to the elemental damage of the spell.

The easiest way to see if its working is to Maximize spell the orb. Now, idk if its coded to maximize the sneak dice added, but if you are getting numbers greater than what the spell should be maximized as, then you know its working.

In the combat log it will display a sneak attack line. Keep in mind that when you range sneak you have to be close as well. Orbs will sneak from its farthest range with the exception of orbs of force which has a longer range. watch for Sneak attack in the combat log.

Its likely this. For ranged sneak attacking you have to be stupidly close which is kind of a pain in the ass and makes ranged sneaking a little lame imo since you have to be so close that you're almost in melee range anyways
