A couple of us players including myself and Xorena are interested in some Drow UD RP. But in order to do this we need more players in the UD to make it worthwhile. I was wondering if anyone else else is in the same situation?

That is, are there other players out there interested in playing in the UD but don't, because there are not enough other players down there?

With a bit of help we were hoping we can organize a group to get together and RP some UD shenanigans on a semi-regular basis. So I would like to hear from you- mainly if you are interested.

We were thinking of either starting a new Noble Lolthite house, or reviving/joining an existing one.
But we are open to suggestions regarding some sort of faction.
Some of us are brand new to UD RP and some of us have some experience with it. So experience is not necessary.

The key to making this wor is scheduling our meet ups ahead of time. I think if we schedule our RP we can make it work.

My work schedule this week includes some mandatory overtime and I work alternating weekends, so scheduling is a must.

I'm open to concept on what I play. I personally like to fill rolls that are currently unmet. I did play a Lolthite priestess on another server so I know the lore decently well.

I'm DMing (when called for) the politics down there. On Lolihite RP do consider the setting is centred on Sshamath and so Lolihite RP is not quite "menzo style". There is however certainly a niche currently, in fact, both in terms of independent houses, House Sshamath, and the Temple

I recently returned (about a week ago) and I play entirely in the UD and I am more than up for some UD RP.

I have a svirf running about down under, however he doesnt exactly get along with drow unfortunately.

House Selmiyeritar are active at the moment as well - Vhaeraunite however.

I will say if you start as a group, that would be quite good to all play outsiders from Sshamath.

The reason being it explains a lot of reasons as to why males would continue to serve whoever plays the Matron - they would be used to it, indoctrinated essentially and also reliant even where a Mage is concerned for paying School tuition fees etc.

That opens up basically all the classes to new players with easy answers as to why the Drow males in particular would cling to a House when other more profitable avenues of employment are available (even if not ICly represented such as Bregan, Schools etc).

-Lolthites are a minority in Sshamath and in spite of their chaotic nature it is understood that surviving requires some subtly. So yah- we wont have high expectations of dominating everyone....but we will have some expectation...just not high ones.
-Oh yeah- there was talk about and a near completion of a Lolthite city in the UD....what happened to that?

Druchii- I think a Llothite guild will create some needed conflict with other guilds/factions in the UD.
- My character grew up in the Darkwoods, amoungst the dregs of Sshamath- yet still loyal to Lolth- she is female though. You have a good idea for introducing male Lolthites.

While the UD might seems sparse at times there is deffinitly a community down there. My hin necromancer is often found in the UD these days trading favors for favors.

I would definitely be interested. I have a CN Grey Orc down in the UD and I'm itching to play his personality.

This is the most active I've seen the UD in some time, so more players are welcome!

I support this and I already play in the UD. Come and meet Gulas, the necromancer and perhaps buy a wand or two from him. Or a fresh corpse.

Or a rotten one, if that's your thing.

I guess a good question to ask everyone, before trying to build something from the ground up, is if there are any active Lolthite houses that are willing to consider recruiting about 4-6 new members?

It might be easier to join or help revive an existing house than it would be to start brand new from scratch.

House Selmiyeritar is extremely active however as Druchii mentioned, they are followers of Vhaeraun. Zau'afin was the last truly active Lolthite House but they are seemingly sparse these days. If you and your friends have your heart set on being followers of Lolth, it is probably best to go your own route. If Vhaeraun is amenable to you, I highly recommend Selmiyeritar as they have a strong active presence.
